I had a no show program this week (so I’ll save those plans for later), but honestly, I wasn’t too upset about it. It’s been an emotional week for many in the library field with the latest executive order threatening to reduce functions or possibly eliminate the Institute of Museum and Library Services. Y’all check on your librarian and teacher friends. We are not okay.

Green Leaf
Here is a green leaf (show hand)
And here is a green leaf (show other hand)
That you see, makes two.
Here is a bud, (cup hands together)
That makes a flower;
Watch it bloom for you! (slowly “bloom” cupped hands)
The Wheels On the Bus
The wheels on the bus go round and round,
Round and round,
Round and round.
The wheels on the bus go round and round,
All through the town.
The kids on the bus go up and down…
The doors on the bus go open and shut…
The wipers on the bus go swish, swish, swish…
Giddy-Up
Giddy-up, giddy-up ride to town (bounce babies on knees)
Giddy-up, giddy-up up and down (lift baby up and down)
Giddy-up fast (bounce quickly)
Giddy up slow (bounce slowly)
Giddy-up, giddy-up, giddy-up, whoa!
(dip baby backwards gently)

Reach down low,
And reach up high.
Storytime’s over –

Spring Is Coming
Spring is coming. Spring is coming.
How do you think I know?
I saw the green grass growing.
I know it must be so!
Spring is coming. Spring is coming.
How do you think I know?
I heard a robin singing.
I know it must be so!
I felt a warm wind blowing…
I smelled a flower blooming..
Five Hungry Ants (with flannel board)
Five hungry ants, marching in a line
They came upon a picnic, where they could dine
They marched into the salad
