We now have two weeks of curbside service under our belts! I have learned so much about circulation, and it’s been so great to see some of our regular Youth Services patrons and meet some of the adult patrons I never get to see. Here are some highlights from the past two weeks of curbside:
-I have a new appreciation and respect for our circulation staff. They manage so much, and have borne the brunt of the pandemic work with wonderful attitudes.
-Kiddos and families have been SO excited to get books in their hands and have been able to give us lovely feedback on our virtual programs and summer reading challenges.
-Most everyone has been grateful and excited to have any kind of interaction with the library and to get new books, even if they can’t enter the building just yet.
-I have been able to give treats to doggos who are along for the ride!
-I haven’t counted, but I am positive that I have met step goals each day, I’ve been eating better and more regularly, and I’ve actually lost a couple of pounds!
How is your library’s reopening going? Where are you in the process and how are you feeling about it?
